Surprise!! It's Bob Mould
(from the Rosewood Theatre's website:)
Thursday November 10
Tickets available ONLINE, The Blue Moose Cafe, 1-866-468-7619
Last minute Bob Mould show, pretty nuts. If you've got $16 to spare, it'll probably be spectacular, if J. Marinelli's ranting about his newest album is true. For those not in the know, Mould made his name playing with Hüsker Dü in the '80s, a band who brought the word 'seminal' into our vocabularies. Not to be forgotten either is his mid-90s pop combo Sugar. Kudos to Gary for landing this, I hope a bunch of people make it out.

Yeah we could definitely do with a Bob Mould interview up in here. For some reason I remember noticing he did the Daily Show theme. Keep in mind it's been the same for like 10 or 15 years. Wow that makes me feel old.

this is indeed exciting. please keep in mind that he's going to be playing an acoustic performance, so it probably won't sound anything like the new cd (body of song), but then, you won't run the risk of damaging your ears.
nonetheless, i have seen him play acoustic before, and it's pretty fucking intense. one highlight was an acoustic version of husker du's 'chartered trips.' whoa.

good luck, patrick. i'm looking forward to (hopefully) reading both versions, and doubly glad you're writing for the DA.
